Infrared Windows
When Safety is Paramount
Installing IR Windows adds a barrier between you and energized equipment that needs to be periodically inspected while energized. This barrier protects the inspector possible electrical hazards as well as all but eliminating the potential for arc flash incidents. IR windows are easy to install, easy to use, and will help inspectors work in safety and with confidence. The inspectors will perform inspections quicker (no need to suit up) more efficiently (no need for multiple inspectors) and reduce the threat of arc flash injury, all while staying in compliance with NFPA 70E requirements. Choose the anodized aluminum frame or opt for durable stainless steel to prevent mixed metal and galvanic corrosion issues.
Windows are available in 2”, 3” and 4” sizes to easily fit your application. The actual viewing window is Calcium Fluoride. This window material works perfectly with any long wave (7.5 to 13 micron) camera. The window does not care who the camera manufacturer is.
With a NEMA/UL rating of 4/12, the window can be installed virtually anywhere. By using a readily available Greenlee punch you will have your windows installed quickly and ready for use. Additionally, windows are available in both Aluminum and Stainless-Steel versions to fit. Regardless of your electrical inspection application, we have the answer.
