Steve Oberstein, owner
Steve is originally from the east coast and moved to the great southwest in 1976 to attend Arizona State University. Professionally Steve has been involved in the reliability and inspection world since joining the Olympus Corporation in 1992. While with Olympus he learned the intricacies of both remote visual inspection and high speed video. The diverse applications of these technologies led him into both the industrial inspection and scientific/industrial research arenas. In 1999 Steve left Olympus and jumped headlong into the infrared world with Flir Systems Inc.
He spent the next 15 plus years dealing with infrared technology for electrical/mechanical as well as research type applications.
In April of 2015 Copperstate Technical Solutions LLC was born. The goal of Copperstate is simple-to give our clients, the combined knowledge and consultative expertise of both Copperstate Technical solutions and the quality manufacturers we represent so they can make informed and correct decisions as to their reliability and maintenance programs.
Steve holds certifications in both Infrared thermography and ultrasound technologies. Additionally, he has trained hundreds of operators in the proper and safe use of remote visual inspection equipment, infrared cameras and industrial ultrasound equipment.
